Title: External Captive Portal (WiFiDog) Support with NBR6215-E and RAP-6260 Series
In my topology, I am using an NBR6215-E gateway, with RAP-6260 and RAP-6260(G) access points connected under it.
I would like to know if it is possible to configure an external captive portal using WiFiDog in this setup.
Could you please confirm whether this configuration is supported and, if yes, provide the recommended configuration steps?
Thank you for your support.

Sir, NBR6215-E does not support External Auth WiFiDog. In order to authenticate the use of APs, all APs in the entire project need to be enterprise level APs or partially reyee APs with version 385 or above that support External Auth WiFiDog. If external portal cannot be enabled properly when mixing with other APs that do not support this feature in the same project or enterprise level APs, the following reyee AP models are supported:

According to your description, if there is RAP-6260 (G) in your project, then your project cannot enable external wifi dog authentication properly

Just to confirm my understanding:If I have a mixed environment in the same project with RAP-6260(G), RAP-2260(G), RAP-2260(E), and RAP-2200(F) (which do not support an external captive portal), and RAP-6262 (which supports an external captive portal starting from version 3.8.5), does this mean that I cannot enable an external captive portal for the entire project?

Thank you for your confirmation.
In this case, would the correct solution be to add an RG-EG series gateway in order to enable an external captive portal for the network?
Or is there any alternative solution you would recommend?
Thank you for your guidance.

Hi sir,

Yes, you can add RG-EG, then you can configure external captive portal on RG-EG.

Best regards,
Steve

Hi sir,

Yes, you can add RG-EG, then you can configure external captive portal on RG-EG.

Which specific RG-EG models currently support external captive portal authentication (WiFiDog and/or WISPr) ?
Please provide the exact model references (e.g., RG-EG105G-V2, RG-EG310GH-E, etc.) with the minimum firmware version required for each.
