We are developing [strong]Tech5G[/strong], a multi-tenant Wi-Fi management and hotspot platform based in Tanzania, East Africa.
Tech5G is intended to integrate with [strong]Ruijie/Reyee access points through Ruijie Cloud[/strong] so that hotspot resellers can manage their sites, devices, customer access, packages/vouchers, and network services from a centralized platform.
We are currently validating integration with the following Ruijie/Reyee device:
[strong]Model:[/strong] RG-RAP6262(G)
[strong]Device:[/strong] Reyee Wi-Fi 6 AX1800 Outdoor Access Point
We would like to request access to the [strong]official Ruijie Cloud API documentation[/strong], particularly the complete [strong]Ruijie Cloud API Reference Manual V1.11[/strong] and the APIs described under [strong]§2.3 Voucher Management[/strong].
1. Voucher Management APIs
The most important requirement for our integration is customer access provisioning.
Could you please confirm whether the Ruijie Cloud API provides APIs for:
Creating/provisioning vouchers
Listing vouchers
Retrieving voucher details/status
Activating or disabling vouchers
Revoking/deleting vouchers
Assigning vouchers to a specific site/group
Setting voucher/package duration
Setting data quotas
Setting upload/download speed limits
Setting maximum number of devices per voucher
MAC-address binding, if supported
Obtaining the credentials/code that a customer uses to access the Wi-Fi
Checking whether a voucher has been used, expired, or is currently active
Please provide the exact API endpoints, request/response examples, required parameters, and any restrictions.
2. Client Authorization / Deauthorization
We also need to understand whether Ruijie Cloud exposes an API for directly authorizing or deauthorizing a connected Wi-Fi client.
Please confirm whether APIs exist for:
Authorizing a client by MAC address
Deauthorizing/disconnecting a client
Checking the current authorization state of a client
Applying an access duration to a client
Applying bandwidth/data limits to a client
If these operations are [strong]not supported through the Cloud API[/strong], please confirm the officially recommended architecture for implementing an external captive portal.
3. External Portal / RADIUS
If voucher provisioning or direct client authorization is not available through the Cloud API, please provide the official integration requirements for using an external captive portal with Ruijie/Reyee APs.
In particular:
Supported external portal authentication flow
Required redirect parameters
Authentication callback/API requirements
RADIUS requirements, if applicable
RADIUS authentication/accounting ports
Required attributes
CoA/disconnect support
Whether voucher-based authentication is supported
Any required configuration on the Ruijie Cloud side
4. Cloud API Authentication
Please also provide the complete authentication requirements for the Cloud API, including:
appid
secret
Preset/pre-shared token, if required
Access-token generation endpoint
Access-token expiration time
Token refresh mechanism
Required authentication headers/query parameters
API rate limits
Error codes and response format
We would also appreciate confirmation of the correct regional API endpoint for [strong]Tanzania/East Africa[/strong]. We currently understand that the Asia-Pacific endpoint may be:
Please confirm whether this is the correct region for our deployment.
5. API Access / Credentials
We understand that Ruijie Cloud API access may require approval from Ruijie.
Please let us know the process for obtaining API access and the information you require from us.
If applicable, we would like to request issuance of the required:
appid
secret
API pre-shared token
for our development/integration environment.
6. Technical Integration
Our goal is to integrate Ruijie Cloud into a centralized SaaS platform rather than managing each access point locally.
The intended architecture is:
[strong]Customer → Ruijie/Reyee AP → Local ISP → Internet[/strong]
while:
[strong]Tech5G → Ruijie Cloud API → Ruijie/Reyee infrastructure[/strong]
is used for management, provisioning, authentication/access control, and monitoring.
The Tech5G server does not carry customer Internet traffic.
We would appreciate any official documentation, integration guides, API examples, or recommended architecture that you can provide.
The [strong]Voucher Management API (§2.3)[/strong] is particularly important because it will determine whether we can integrate Ruijie into our existing hotspot voucher architecture or whether an external portal/RADIUS service is required.
Thank you for your assistance. We look forward to your guidance and the appropriate API documentation/access credentials.
Kind regards,
[strong]Amir Mussa[/strong]
