Hello, May I ask what the current software version is? Could you please inform me of this information? If you attempt to create a new SSID named "down" and then delete it, will this problem be resolved? Best regards, Micca |
GTAC-Micca replied at 2025-6-25 11:38 Hi Community I’m experiencing a similar issue with a network made up of three RG-EW1200G PRO units. When the network was first set up a year ago, one unit was configured as the main router and the other two as repeaters in wired mesh mode. It worked perfectly until a few days ago, when I had to replace one of the repeaters due to a malfunction. When I tried adding the new unit to the mesh network—removing the faulty one and following the Ruijie tutorial steps—the cloud displayed the topology correctly (a main router with two associated repeaters, all sharing the same Wi-Fi SSID). However, within its coverage area, the new repeater wasn't broadcasting the correct SSIDs. Instead, it showed two unsecured SSIDs: the default one a Ruijie device emits when unconfigured, and another named "Down"—a network I had never configured. The cloud project does not show these two "ghost" networks anywhere. I’ve repeated the mesh network installation steps several times (factory resetting the device, linking it to the main router via both wired and wireless connections), but with no success. There is simply no way to get this new unit to broadcast the correct mesh network SSIDs. Both the main unit and the replacement unit are running the latest firmware available to date. Could this be an issue with the new firmware or the hardware of these units? Thanks |
