Apple devices refuse to upload pictures over whats or any form of media.

Good Day I'm new to the Reyee product, use to Ubiquity. I added WiFi to a site. I installed ES205GC-P as my power source and connection to their main network switch and connected three RAP2266GX ceiling mount AP's to the POE. Done the settings as I understand it, Two SSID's one for management and one for staff, only difference are staff SSID has a AP bandwidth Limit on. Windows, Android works perfectly. no issues, correct speed test over both SSID's. internet works media works everything are great on both SSID's. Iphones, Ipads connects with no issue, Speed tests are correct, internet browsing are correct no problems but sending / uploading a picture over whatsapp or to facebook etc refuse to work. I have googled,I have changed settings but I cant figure out why its happening. Connections are great but they eventually automatically disconnects from the WiFi after a while of not sending out the picture. According to one Iphone user that's a normal thing if it struggles to send out. I'm no Iphone expert so have no idea if that's normal. but the problem are that none of the Iphones want to send out anything. What am I missing, surely I'm missing something. AP's are on the newest firmware. Any guidance would be highly appreciated. Kind regards Conrad |

Hi sir, May I ask what device this is, RG-RAP2266? If so, I think you can try to downgrade the device to test first: Ruijie RG-RAP2260&RAP2266 Series Access Point Firmware - Ruijie Reyee - Ruijie Networks And update the IOS device to latest. ![]() |

Conrad Aucamp replied at 2026-6-10 23:38 Dear Sir, May I know the operation system version of your iphones? And are the firmware versions of whatsapp and facebook the latest? And could you check the dns server IP of the iphones? You can try to change the dns setting. And please ensure the wireless signal is fine on the iphones when connecting. GTAC-Shirley replied at 2026-6-11 13:01 Thank you I'll contact RITA. I dont know whats the versions of the Iphones as thats out of my controll. There's from iphone 8 till current and thats 100% out of my control. Its supposed to work with all phones, I cant say sorry you need to be on OSxxx to use the network. The DNS are the defualt DNS for the client firewall I cant change that. It looks like Reyee are a quick fail and I'll be reverting back to my older systems used that has never had an issue like this. Really liked the cloud and ease of setup. Need to install another system now and I'm too scared to use Reyee again due to this issue. |
