Mesh with EW1800GX PRO

Hi, good day.
I have 2 (kind of) questions here.
1. I finally purchased 2 more mesh routers, which is EW1200G PRO, to be used as mesh nodes for my EW1800GX PRO. I have successfully linked them up, but in my device list, the 2 routers are stated as "Mode: Wireless Repeater". Is this correctly setup as mesh ? i notice huge drop in speed with this setup.
2. I plan to switch to wired connection in a foreseeable future, is there anything that i need to do to make the switch ? or do i just plug cables and voila?
Thank you, any help is appreciated.

Hi Silv,
1.Yes, after mesh is successful, it will be wireless repeater mode. In the case of wireless backhaul, the backhaul rate may be attenuated due to distance and obstacles.
2.Yes, just plug in the cable.

Hi GTAC-Richie, thank you for your response.
I have a follow up question, I was originally thinking of daisy chaining the routers for mesh (wired).
But now i'm considering of getting a Switch and connect all of the routers directly to this switch.
Will the mesh still work this way ?
