Hi everyone, I have two Ruijie RG-CS85 switches. Earlier my network was running as a flat network without VLANs. Today, I configured VLANs on both switches, created the VLANs, and set the uplink between the switches as a trunk port. I also configured some access ports in specific VLANs. After these changes, the end devices connected to the access ports are no longer getting internet access. Can someone help me identify what might be wrong? |
Thank you very much for your consultation, sir. If it is convenient, could you provide me with the complete topology information of this project? |
GTAC-Eric replied at 2025-9-22 08:57 In my network, the [strong]management VLAN is VLAN 100[/strong], but the switch always seems to pick up an IP from [strong]VLAN 1[/strong] instead. Is there a way to force/assign the switch to get its management IP from the [strong]VLAN 100 range[/strong] instead of VLAN 1? Appreciate any guidance on this. |
Buddhima replied at 2025-9-24 15:19 Thank you very much for your prompt reply. Sir, could you provide me with a simple topology of this project and point out the location of the DHCP server for this vlan1? If it is a DHCP server across three layers, we need to configure DHCP relay. |

Buddhima replied at 2025-9-24 15:46 Thank you for your reply, sir. If it is convenient, could you describe to me the specific location of the terminal that cannot obtain the vlan1 address in the topology? And can you point out the location of the vlan1 DHCP server for me? |
