Edited by tuan2tech@gmail.com at 2025-10-20 09:17 Description: I am using two Ruijie CS86 switches: Switch 1 (Layer 3): Configured with 10 VLANs and DHCP enabled. Switch 2 (Layer 2): Has a management IP interface accessible via eWeb. I configured a trunk port on the Layer 3 switch (VLAN ID 1, allowing all VLANs) and connected it to port 1 on the Layer 2 switch. After connecting the trunk, I cannot access the management IP of the L2 switch. Request: Please guide me on how to configure the Layer 2 switch so it can obtain an IP address (via DHCP or static) for management access through the trunk connection. |
Dear What is the model of your L2 switch? Have you also configured the corresponding port for Trunk mode on the L2 switch? |
