BUG REPORT: Wifi power output drops after firmware upgrade.
|
Hi, We have noticed that after a firmware upgrade the wifi power output drops. Even when look at the settings (Managment Console and Router GUI), it shows 100%. We have to reset the router for wifi output to increase. Regards Shahin |

Dear customer I hope this email finds you well. Sir, display of 100% indicates that this is the maximum power. How do you determine if the power is reduced due to a firmware update? Best Regards, Song |
GTAC-Song replied at 2026-1-10 22:43 Good day, Before, 5 meters away full strength. Now, next to router 2 signal bars. Quite a few customers have reported this. I have this issue with serial number G1SK5JW029317 at the moment. Thanks |
Shahin replied at 2026-1-13 00:08 Sir, please check your Wi-Fi settings (specifically power and roaming sensitivity), and then use a Wi-Fi test tool to test your Wi-Fi signal strength. Refer to the following steps: 1. Set both 2.4G and 5G power to 100%, and roaming sensitivity to 0. 2. Use the Reyee Ruijie app to check the signal strength index (higher is better, -30dbm > -40dbm). ![]() |
