Check Port Traffic and Stability:
  • Login to the Device: Ensure that the corresponding port traffic is normal and stable. This can be done by logging into the switch and checking the port status.

  • Wait for Recognition: It may take up to 20-30 minutes for the camera to be recognized. If the camera is not visible in the cloud after a long wait, you can manually update it.

Verify NVR Connection:
  •   NVR Configuration: If an NVR is connected, ensure that the NVR brand and model are supported. Commonly supported NVR brands include Haikang, Dahua, and Tiandi Weiye.
  • NVR Connectivity: Confirm the IP address, username, password, and connectivity of the NVR. Ensure that the NVR is correctly configured to allow traffic through NAT traversal and that the port is set to 80.
Check for Tunnel Support:
  • Tunnel Establishment:Ensure that there is at least one device on the network that supports tunnel establishment. If no such device is present, the camera cannot be obtained through the NVR.
  • NVR Compatibility: Verify that the NVR is compatible with the ES switch. The camera should connect to an ES/NBS switch for optimal recognition.
  • Review Common Issues:
  • Traffic Monitoring: Ensure that the traffic on the switch port is being monitored correctly. The traffic should not indicate any security issues or bandwidth concerns.
  • HTTPS Login: If the NVR requires HTTPS login for security reasons, ensure that the login is performed through an intranet tunnel, which is more secure than HTTPS.
Additional Notes:
  • Non-POE Devices: The traffic alarm is related to the switch port traffic and is not specific to POE devices. If the camera is a non-POE device, the same traffic monitoring steps apply.
